Hippie —noun

-a person, especially of the late 1960s, who rejected established institutions and values and sought spontaneity, direct personal relations expressing love, and expanded consciousness, often expressed externally in the wearing of casual, folksy clothing and of beads, headbands, used garments, etc.

A new-aged hippy, thats what I consider myself. Some go by 'Crunchy,' others prefer 'Tree Hugger' or 'Ecotarian'. Either way it's a way to describe those who seek to do more than consume, waste, ignore, reproduce and repeat.

I spend most of my time with my family, my few personal moments used to busily pore through as much news, scientific and opinion articles as I can. We, as a family, participate in many forms of activism and protest. Food safety and security, environmentalism,

freedoms and rights for us and animal

welfare are all extremely important to me.

My passion for healthy food has led me to many interesting experiments. From adding Turmeric to virtually everything to brewing my own Kombucha. We have ventured into full Organic/Gluten-free/vegan and everything in between. Organic is a constant with us though, the effects of glyphosate and GMO's a huge concern.
